Puppy Business
Something that jumps
a little green bug
a leaf in flight
the fringe on the rug.
The ball that squeaks
a woolly bear worm
the puppies quarrel
it must be my turn.
Bit and wrestle
tug of war
don’t miss a morsel
thqt falls on the floor.
Puppies are busy
they sleep and play
life is grand
it’s always a new day.

I Am Really Sorry
Don’t be shy, hide behind a mask
you really tried, just as I asked.
Things go wrong, sometimes don’t work
doesn’t mean, you were a jerk.
Don’t think such a thing, or feel that way

Mr. Spots
Scabby, matted – one eye blind
you just wouldn’t think – he’d be a find.
Hung around – looking sad
Didn’t need a cat – he looked bad.
Persistent and sure – that old Tom Cat
was really skinny – needed some fat.
Finally gave in – put some food in a dish
let me know – that was his wish.
He visits each day – looking shiny and good
he knew I would help him – I surely would.

Please care for a friend –
find a home, help him mend.
Has a gear of gold
has to move – he’s told.
find a place, a nice new home
where people care – he can roam.
His eyes are lonely, can’t you see
just wants love, somewhere to be.
Holds no grudges, has a happy heart
looking for a family, a brand new start.
Care for your friend, anyway you can
a helping hand, a ride in a van.

Why can’t we see it?
We don’t seem to hear it
Seldom do we feel it
the answer to a problem.
It’s always simple –
if we would turn around and look
if we would be quiet and listen
