Best Friend

Honest and true
no monkeying around
you’re the best friend I ever found.
Always there, by my side
you never have to be the guide.
You have a concern
might ask why
when I seem down
or start to cry.
You take time
make a comment or two
our friendship always
seems fresh and new.
