Snicker Snicker Snook
Snicker Snicker Snook
Snicker, snicker snook
I think I’ll read a little book.
Have some fun, play pretend
go new places, make a friend.
Spend some time, curl up in a chair
no batteries needed, no computer to share.
Snicker, snicker snook
off to read my favorite book.

Peanut Butter
Peanut butter is fun and gooey
some people think that’s just plain hooey.
They don’t understand the joy of the spread
smear it with jelly on your favorite bread.
Too silly for grown up, it’s just kids stuff
they frown and growl in a great big huff.
They’ve just lost touch with the joys of youth
they must be served in a restaurant booth.
No frills or china required my friend
doesn’t cost a bundle, no rules to bend.
Enjoy a sandwich, use a napkin or two
with peanut butter and jelly you never feel blue!

May There Always be Unicorns
May There Always be Unicorns
May there always be unicorns
in your heart and dreams
although there are those
who don’t believe it seems.
A rainbow, good luck
the tooth fairy
and Easter Bunny
they all make us smile
act a little funny.
Santa, hobbits
angels and fairies
can’t seem to touch them
but our faith never varies.
Keep dreams in your heart
let unicorns run free
all the joys of the world
will be yours to see.

A Pair of Bears
A Pair of Bears
We are bears of a pair
and don’t have a care.
We have coarse brown fur
but we don’t purr.
We love to eat honey
but it doesn’t cost money.
We live in a den
but come out now and then.
In the winter we sleep
so don’t make a peep.
We are big and tough
and we take no guff.
We are bears of a pair
so you should take care.

Red & Green Parrot
Red & Green Parrot
I’m a red and green parrot
and would love to eat a carrot.
But I looked around and one could be found.
Sometimes you’ll see me in someone’s home
but I’d rather be out where I can roam.
I normally eat lots of fruit and seeds
they fill up all my hungry needs.
I have neat clawed fee to hold all I can eat
and feathers of red that cover my head.
I can screech real loud ’cause I feel very proud
I’m a tropical bird that can really be heard.

Lions
Lions
When you meet a lion
he won’t be sighing
he’ll make a roar
that would knock
down a door.
King of the Jungle
is his real nickname
because he’s so bold
and has no shame.
His mane is wild
and very large almost as big
as a towboat barge.
He’s Lord of the Jungle
and King of the Beasts
don’t let him catch you
or you’ll be his feast.

Wally The Walrus
Wally, The Walrus
My name is Wally the Walrus
I have never ridden on a crowded school bus.
I float around on chunks of ice
because I think it feels really nice.
Sometimes I sit on cold, gray rocks
but I have no need for thick wool socks.
My tusks are long – big and white
I always brush them every night.
I am proud of my tusks and how they look
I think I’ll have my picture took!

The Clownfish
The Clownfish
I’m a silly red fish and they call me a clown
because I’m happy and never do frown.
I love to swim and splash around
I am very bright and can always be found.
I have not fee, but that’s a treat
I swim everywhere so I don’t really care.
I live in the water that’s warm and blue
I’m very healthy and never have flu.

Penguins
Penguins
Penguins are half black and penguins are half white
there’s nothing about them that would cause a fright.
It looks pretty nifty to be fifty-fifty!
They make us laugh, they make us giggle
it must be the way they seem to wiggle.
They swim in the water, they waddle on ice
they really seem to be very nice!
Next time you see a penguin with orange feet
tell him you know that he’s really neat!

The Horns of a Rhinoceros
The Horns of a Rhinoceros
I have two horns, but I can’t play a song,
they don’t work very well, so I just sing along.
I love to hum, I love to sing
but about those horns,
I can’t do a thing!
A rhino might use his horns to play
but in my case, who knows what people would say.
I’ll just keep singing and humming my song.
I’ll keep my horns quiet, so we can all get along.

A Kangaroo
A Kangaroo
A kangaroo hops, a kangaroo jumps
that’s how she gets over all the bumps.
She carries her baby around in a pouch
but baby never has to cry out “Ouch”
Mom is careful and makes a good home
so baby roo is never alone.
She jumps high in the air to go anywhere
her legs so strong she can jump all day long.
You probably won’t see a kangaroo at your house
she would be a lot bigger than a little mouse!
Australia is home for a kangaroo
or maybe you could see one in the zoo.

The Elephant
The Elephant
The elephant’s wide, the elephant’s big
when he walk along, he doesn’t do a jig.
His trunk is long and wiggly, too
and sometimes he doesn’t live in a zoo.
His trunk hangs down
and touches the ground
yet, sometimes it almost reaches the sky.
He’s even been know
to eat a lemon meringue pie.
His color is gray, he hasn’t much hair
he’s really very nice and we all should care.
So next time you meet an elephant on the street
you will already know that he is really sweet!
