The Secret so Simple

Do any of us really know were we are going in life?
It’s the most important trip we will ever take
yet most don’t have a clue which way to turn.

If there ever was a road map, it is truly in the heart.
How many are able to see the way clearly?
Perhaps it’s not for the eyes to find
the destination is felt by heart and soul.

How lucky are those who have found the way
and the few, who accidentally stumbled upon the path.
The rest are groping, feeling in the dark
standing in a mist of sadness and despair.

Is the secret so simple – just look inside?
Put the world on hold, stand tall and alone.
Be patient and quiet – the path will appear
to a hungry and honest soul.
