A Friend

It’s nice to have a friend.
Someone to laugh with, talk to – cry with.
The bond of friendship grows from sharing good times
working through some bad times
and caring about the life of another person.
A friend is a shoulder to lean on
a helping hand when more than two are needed
a quiet ear to hear a story that needs to be told.
A friend is earned
not a mere acquaintance found out in the world.
A friendship takes time, take care and takes honesty.
A friend is a true gift.
It’s nice to have a friend.
