Snowflakes Fall Silently to the Ground
It’s whisper quiet as the snowflakes fall
silently to the ground
from Heaven to Earth in a hundred shapes and sizes.
Only God’s design could ever by so glorious.
Each glistening diamond quietly touches down
like the gentle kiss to a lover’s lips.
the snowflakes grow into beautiful mounds
upon Nature’s trees, bushes and hills.
It’s a trick to our eyes that the most common sight
is transformed into a winter, artistic delight.
Who would ever guess that the old apple tree
could ever dress up in a winter’s white gown?
Everything looks so pure, white and clean
can we learn to live in a world this perfect?
The winter teaches us how to live our lives
to view all things with simple beauty and delight
to let our cares fall gently and quietly in the snow.
